Stop Chatting. Start Winning.

How to get real work done with Generative AI.

In this edition, we tackled the big question: Can AI do real work?

(Spoiler alert: It absolutely can.)

Audience feedback was amazing. Attendees said it was ”Practical, funny, and well-presented.” Likelihood to recommend to a colleague? 9.7/10

Let’s dive in to the recap.

The Gen AI Struggle

Most organizations make the same mistake with AI that PreScouter made: they hand out tools like ChatGPT or Copilot and expect instant transformation. But AI is like a gym—you don’t get fit just by joining. You need to do the work, and that includes providing coaching and guidance for your team. You also need the right equipment. As I said during the session: “ChatGPT is great for retirees, and students and the person who cuts my hair… but we need something different for knowledge work.” (I guess I forgot to mention that I cut my own hair.)

For knowledge work, chat tools are not enough.

At PreScouter, we’ve gone beyond chat to build, what we believe, is the right equipment for tackling high-value use cases for knowledge work. We call this application Auxee.

We walked through three big examples using both ChatGPT and Auxee.

Use Case 1️⃣: Building Work Documents

Hate staring at a blank page? AI can get you up to 75% of a draft proposal, report, or meeting minutes or other work documents. I shared how I turned a messy sales meeting transcript into a polished proposal in minutes.

Use Case 2️⃣: Topic Monitoring

Imagine never having to scour Google for updates on competitors, regulations, or trends again. Instead, AI can monitor, summarize, and highlight what’s changing week by week—without missing crucial details like niche competitors or hidden insights. I shared how to do this, as well as how to almost do this with chat based tools.

Use Case 3️⃣: Mining Websites

Chat-based tools give casual answers, based on casually searching for browsing website. For real work, AI needs to scrape and analyze every page of relevant data. Think of it as hiring a super-efficient researcher who never sleeps.

The Future: Mini-Me > Copilot

And now, for the fun part: Austin Powers. I made the case that the future of AI isn’t co-pilots—it’s Mini-Me’s. Imagine teaching AI to think, act, and execute work just like you would.

We’re already on our way there. During the webinar, I joked about creating an AI clone of myself. A few moments later, "Mini-Dino" showed up. While he can’t make coffee (yet), he’s a sneak peek into how AI will work alongside us in the future.

This webinar was just the beginning. If you’re ready to go deeper or want to see how these ideas can work for your organization, let’s talk — just reply to this email.
